Writers, if you are someone like me, who never finds enough "quiet time" and "peace" to write uninterrupted, then a writer's retreat sounds like what you need. Getting out of our routine life, seeing a new environment and hanging out with a community that is doing what we are doing, can be a richly rewarding experience.
Think of a writer's retreat as a solo-holiday with a bonus of uninterruppted writing time, sessions on writing, chilling in a cosy cottage reading, and not having to worry about anything for a few days, except writing. No matter which level of expertise you believe you are at, you can come with me on a writer's retreat and not just write, but unwind, brainstorm, walk, sleep, ideate and generally do whatever makes you inspired and re-energized to write!
Imagine, no responsibilities, no doorbells to answer and no interruptions. Just you, your writing tools and your books with a group of writers who are exactly in search of the same quietude and a short but highly productive break from the humdrum of the city.
If you are starting out on your writing journey, or have already been writing for a while, and you feel you need the last push to get to something that refuses to start or finish, or deal with the ambiguities of your manuscript that simply needs a new perspective, or a deadline that appears to have become a moving target, then join me this year on a writer's retreat at the end of the year.
Let's do this together.
Interested, yet wondering if this will be worth your time, effort and money? Worried how much preplanning is required for your first writer's retreat? Would prefer some writing guidance during the retreat? Happy to talk more!
